The Freecom 4x has one great new feature for when the connection between units is lost. The rider receives an audible notification that the connection has failed, and then the unit tries to reconnect for approximately three minutes. This feature eliminates the need to manually reconnect units by pressing a button when the link is broken.
Switch into bluetooth mode first on your PTS. On my PTB, it’s pressing top and bottom buttons. Then start intercom pairing on the PTS on channel 1. On my PTB, I hold the top button for 5s. Then start intercom pairing on the FC1+. On my Freecom 4, it was by holding the front button for 5s. They should then pair after a few seconds.

May 11, 2009. Oddometer: 4,897. Location: Dublin NH. I had a Freecom 4 (non Plus) and recently switched to the Packtalk. The stability and clarity is pretty much the same, although it did take messing around with volume levels to get there. DMC is way better than Bluetooth intercom, it just works.
